Our Mission
"The mission of the
Friends of the New Ulm Public Library is to be advocates for the
library. We are committed to increasing public awareness and use of
the library through cultural, educational, and social activities,
and to raise funds to supplement and enhance library programs and
services."

| FRIENDS GENERAL MEETING, OCTOBER 22 |
| Our annual general
meeting will be on Monday, Oct. 22nd at 7 p.m. in the
Library Meeting Room. Our speaker will be library director
Larry Hlavsa who will be talking about his vision for the
Library and the Friends of the Library. |

| To celebrate National Friends of the Library Week,
October 21-27, 2007, the Friends of the New Ulm Library are
sponsoring an art contest. Our contest is open to all age
groups. Click here for

| FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY BOOK SALE,
DECEMBER 7-8 |
| We will be conducting a BOOK SALE at the Library on
Friday December 7th and Saturday, December 8th. Watch here
for upcoming details. If you would like to donate good
quality, used books for our sale, please bring them to the
Library. Please specify that they are for the FRIENDS OF THE
NEW ULM LIBRARY book sale! Thank you! |

WHAT
WE'VE DONE! |

1. We hosted a reception
for author Kathryn Adams Doty. She visited the library in
March to discuss her novel Wild Orphan.
2. With the help of a
generous donation from Walgreens, we treated 250 children to banana
splits at the Summer Reading Kickoff in June. |
