Spend the Night
with Hitchcock
This display features many of Alfred Hitchcock’s
films on DVD as well as some biographies about the well-known
director. Also on display are some
of Hitchcock’s quotes such as, “The length of a film should be directly
related to the endurance of the human bladder.” and “I am a typed
director. If I made Cinderella, the
audience would immediately be looking for a body in the coach.”
Starlight,
Starbright, First Star I See Tonight….
This display celebrates
looking up into the night sky and seeing…whatever you can see. Books about the night sky and
constellations can be found here.
See if you can pick out the big dipper next time you look up at the
sky at night. Then find Polaris,
Ursa Minor, Hercules, the Strongman, and Sagittarius, the Archer. Don’t be afraid of the dark, unless you
just watched a film by Alfred Hitchcock.
Do It Yourself
From car
repair to home improvement, these books can help you figure out how to get
that project done with your own two hands.
